The Indian Board President's XI slipped to 63/3 in reply to West Indies A's big first innings total, but centuries to opener Ajay Jadeja, and allrounder R.R.Singh built a strong reply.
Jadeja slowed down up pulling a muscle on Day 2, but was solid throughout, while Singh also kept his name in the spotlight with an excellent innings.
Handy innings from Yadav and Wassan allowed the home team to avert the follow on, whereupon they declared in the hope of being set a target.
Fast bowler Gray bowled superbly for the visitors, raising hopes of a good showing in the Unofficial Test series.
