Pitch: 7 - Uneven - significant help for all bowlers
Weather: 4 - Hot and sunny
Toss: India A
India A won the toss and sent West Indies A in for the final the match of the series on an Uneven wicket.
With 8 bowling options in their side, and scores expected to be low due to the pitch conditions, the home team were keen to give their bowlers first use of the wicket.
Despite an opening stand of 50 between the recalled S.Ragoonath, and the in form Samuels, West Indies A stuggled thereafter to make only 163/9 off their 50 overs.
S.C.Ganguly with medium pace, and legspinner Narendra Hirwani took 3 wickets apiece as they ran through the lower order to leave India A on top at the break.
Though only a mediocre total, 163 looked defendable on this Uneven pitch for a 4 pronged West Indies A pace attack.
After a couple of early wickets West Indies A appeared in the game, but well paced innings from the in form middle order of Dravid, Kambli, and Ganguly carried India A to an eventual easy 6 wicket win, with 11 overs to spare, to claim a 5-0 series whitewash.
Gray and Rose again tried hard for West Indies A, but they were ultimately outclassed by a talented India A batting lineup accustomed to home conditions.
Man of the Match and also Man of the Series was India A captain Saurav Ganguly, his allround efforts and leadership throughout the series marking him as a special talent for the future.
