S.C.Ganguly returns from injury in place of allrounder R.R.Singh, and retakes the captaincy from Dravid.
Right arm seamer S.T.Banerjee comes in for the expensive Chetan Sharma as India A test their options.
West Indies A again changed their opening pair, with Williams and Samuels returning from injury.
Leading wicket taker on tour, fast bowler Tony Gray misses this match with an ankle injury after a fall in the hotel, meanwhile Cuffy misses out through discliplinary action and cops a fine from management as rumors of all night hotel partying on tour surface.
