With Chetan Sharma and Sunil Joshi both claiming 3-24, the batsmen at the other end struggled, and West Indies would have been disappointed with their eventual total of 126/8 off 20 overs.
India A began their reply confidently, the openers raising 50 inside 6 overs before they were parted.
Another professional innings full of excellent shots by Gursharan Singh pretty much took the home side to victory, by the easy margin of 6 wickets with 2.5 overs to spare.
Man of the Match was West Indies A opener Philo Wallace, his powerful innings deserving better support.
