An excellent batting pitch greets the two teams for the 1st Unofficial T20 International at Bombay.
Both teams have chosen bowler heavy lineups, a decision partly forced on them by injury.
Saurav Ganguly will miss the first 2 matches for India A with injury, when he was expected to captain the side after playing strongly in the warmup games.
An experienced lineup, India A feature mostly players who performed in the early tour matches, with Gursharan Singh, Chetan Sharma, Gopal Sharma, and M.Venkatatamana all having played Test cricket in the recent past.
West Indies A are without the services of allrounder Keith Arthurton 1 match, and batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul 2 matches, in a disappointing start to the series.
Legspinner Rawl Lewis was also unavailable for this match.
The injuries forced West Indies A to weaken their batting and adopt a 5 bowler policy, it remains to be seen what effect this has on their final total.
India A seem favourites for this one given West Indies A's recent form and the changes to their lineup brought on by injury.
