Zimbabwe Board XI v England A - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Zimbabwe Board XI, England A 2nd Innings

Zimbabwe Board XI v England A - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Bulawayo

With no time left to force a result, Zimbabwe took batting practice, promoting keeper Wayne James to open in place of first innings double century maker Ali Shah.
Medium pacer John Stephenson took the only wicket for England A, as the bowlers continued to struggle, before the home side made a token declaration after James reached an unbeaten 50*.
England A lost both openers inside 7 overs in their reply, to end an unhappy match for the visitors in which their weaknesses had been exposed.
Ali Shah was Man of the Match for his magnificent double century, and also claimed 2-29 with the ball as he kept the home side on top throughout an ultimately drawn, but very entertaining match for the home fans.
