Toss: West Indies A
West Indies A won an important toss, and predictably elected to bat first, with the pitch expected to take spin late in the match.
With all of the batsmen spending time in the middle, and lead by recently called up captain Dawnley Joseph with 111, posted a massive 1st innings score.
A long and frustrating unbroken 9th wicket partnership of 128*between tailenders Perry and Rose was the final nail in the India A bowler's coffin, allowing West Indies A to declare at 500/8 late on Day 2.
The bowlers struggled throughout, before Perry 77*, and Rose 50* ground them into the dust.
With the wicket expected to favour spin increasingly later in the match, West Indies A appeared in a very strong position to force a win.
A target of 351 to avoid the follow on left India A under pressure as they prepared to begin their innings.
