Toss: West Indies A
West Indies A won what seemed an important toss, then blew excellent batting conditions with some poor batting to tumble to 194 all out in their 1st innings.
Captain Dawnley Joseph continued to impress on his late call up to the team, before being run out by a direct hit by Gursharan Singh for 63.
Chanderpaul was the only other batsmen to resist the spinners long in a disappointing effort by the visiting batsmen.
Offspinner Margashayam Venkataramana flighted the bull superbly on a flat pitch to claim 5-77 in an excellent spell of 1st day spin bowling.
