India A v West Indies A - 2nd Unofficial 4 day Test 1991/2 - Match Summary

India A v West Indies A - 2nd Unofficial 4 day Test 1991/2 - Delhi

Pitch: 24

Toss: West Indies A

West Indies A won the toss, but little else went right for them, blowing ideal batting conditions on the first day, fielding poorly, then collapsing in their 2nd innings in a spineless display.
India A offspinner M.Venkataramana took 5-77 on the 1st day as West Indies A were all out for 194, on his way to 8 wickets in the match.
The other bowlers were just as good for India A, and West Indies A were under constant pressure throughout.
India A only needed to bat once, Dravid making 87 to lay a platform, before an unbeaten 141* from captain Ganguly took them to a big lead.
Ganguly's partnership with Venkataramana for the 8th wicket took the game away from the visitors, and more than doubled their lead.
Gray bowled well for West Indies A to take 5-62 with some impressive fast bowling, but there was little else for the visitors to take away from this match.
An innings and 57 run victory handed India A a 1-0 lead in the 5 match series.
