Indian President's XI v West Indies A - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Indian President's XI 1st Innings

Indian President's XI v West Indies A - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Lucknow

Toss: West Indies A

West Indies A won the toss and elected to give their 5 man seam attack of a Green first morning pitch in Humid conditions which would aid swing.
The Indian President's XI openers gave them a good start, but 4 wickets to fast medium bowler Henderson Bryan saw them slip to 189/6 and in some trouble.
Allrounder Manoj Prabhakar and keeper C.S.Pandit came to the rescue with fighting half centuries, adding 97 for the 7th wicket and putting the home side in a strong position.
The President's XI elected to bat on in the hope of securing a big enough total to make the follow on a threat.
Though the West Indies A seamers enjoyed the seaming conditions, it was an inconsistent display by the bowlers and they let a good situation slip, allowing the lower order to double the score.
