Toss: West Indies A
West Indies A won the toss, and with the pitch green, elected to bowl first.
BCCI XI's experienced openers Kris Srikkanth and Ravi Shastri then gave a masterclass in how to open the batting against the moving ball, adding 153 valuable runs for the opening wicket.
Lead by fast medium bowler Ezra Moseley with 6-64, the visitors then stormed back into the match, taking the last 10 wickets for 145 to dismiss the home side for 298.
A few of the other batsmen made starts, but the value of Shastri and Srikkanth's opening stand could be seen after the late collapse, ensuring at least a moderate total.
