West Indies A won an important toss, allowing their fast bowlers loose on the first day on a Green pitch.
An opening stand of 153 between Srikkanth and Shastri made the visitors question their decision, before 6 wickets to a steamed up Ezra Moseley saw the BCCI XI all out for 298 on the opening day.
Lead by a century to opener Sherwin Campbell and 92 to keeper Jacobs, West Indies A replied strongly and declared with a lead of 62.
When the 4th wicket fell in the BCCI XI's 2nd innings, they were only 39 ahead and with a long tail to come West Indies A sensed their chance.
Some excellent bad wicket batting on a now Uneven pitch by captain Dilip Vengsarkar saw his side to the draw, aided by some bad light and gritty tail end batting.
It was an improved performance from West Indies A, who despite the draw, would have been happy with their performance.
Man of the Match was fast medium bowler Ezra Moseley, his 1st day bowling being some of the best of the tour.
