BCCI XI v West Indies A - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Match Preview

BCCI XI v West Indies A - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Kanpur

Pitch: 4 - An under prepared wicket, not the best advertisement for the groundsmans skills. There are patches of green at both ends around a length, and batting is likely to be difficult against the  quickies on the first day. After the spite has worn off there will be runs to be had, but by day 4 the spinners may come into their own and this could be a match dominated by the bowlers.

Weather: 2 - Hot and sunny

Day 1 starting pitch: 6 - Green

K.Srikkanth
R.J.Shastri SLA
D.B.Vengsarkar (c)

West Indies A XI:

H.R.Bryan RFM
O.D.Gibson RF
E.A.Moseley RFM
C.E.Cuffy RF

Lead by veteran batsman Dilip Vengsarkar, the BCCI XI is an experienced team, but features a long tail which may keep the West Indies A bowlers interested.
West Indies A rotate their XI, intent on giving as many players game time as possible.
A green pitch makes this one interesting, a sight for sore eyes for the West Indies A seamers, and the toss could be important.
