New Zealand A v England - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - England 2nd Innings

New Zealand A v England - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Dunedin

England never really looked like attempting a target of 200 in 43 overs, and the loss of a couple of wickets forced them merely to bat out time.
Most of the batsmen found form, with Gooch making a solid half century, and the others all getting starts.
Botham entertained the crowd for a while in an unbeaten 40* as England rejigged their batting order, but it was too little too late and the match was drawn.
It was a disappointing end to what was an entertaining match featuring a number of excellent performances.
Mike Atherton was named Man of the Match for his first innings century, an innings that gives him the inside running for a Test spot later in the tour.
