Indian Board XI v West Indies A - 3 day First Class match 1991/2 - Match Preview

Indian Board XI v West Indies A - 3 day First Class warmup match - Kanpur - 1991/2

Pitch: 129 - Dry and dusty on top but with moisture trapped just below the surface this could be a pitch of differing moods. The bounce may vary throughout the match and by the  final day the pitch may be taking spin. Batting will be easiest on the opening day so winning the toss here is important.

Day 1 starting Pitch: 1A - Very slow paced wicket - slows run rate, but less chance of wickets.

Day 1 Weather: Cloudy, some sunny intervals.

The Indian Board XI will be lead by experienced opener W.V.Raman, who debuted in Tests in 1987/8.
The spin attack looks to be a strength, with Gopal Sharma's offspin lending experience to a varied bowling lineup.
West Indies A look slightly stronger in batting, while the pace bowlers are expected to be their main threat.
R.Dhanraj gets an opportunity as spinner in this game, while N.O.Perry will probably replace him for the India A games, unless conditions warrant playing two spinners.
